Rhymes

One of the things that was unexpected in class was learning about rhymes.  I thought rhymes were not something that has many different variables, like end rhyme or internal rhymes. Honestly, that really surprised me and that got me really interested in it.  Though I did average on the test.

Paradox and oxymoron

We learn about paradoxes and oxymoron.  I especially liked the paradoxes.  Because it says something that can't be true but it is.  That was very interesting.  And oxymoron were cool to learn too.

Modifiers

We have learn about modifiers.  They, well they help modify a sentence.  Like you can put one in the end or one in the beginning.  Which ever one is needed.  It was really interesting.

Devices in speech

We learned about devices people use in speeches and commercials.  She taught us about repetitions and other stuff like it.  We even made our own commercials as a work.  It was very interesting and we got an A.  We talked about a hair product.

Edgar Allen Poe

We learned about Edgar Allen Poe in class.  In the class we also read "The Raven" and "The fall of the house of usher.  The teacher taught us about Edgar Allen Poe is style of writing.  And also how he had a bad life.  It was very interesting
